Gendis is a large shareholder of Pembina Pipeline Corporation as a result of its friendly takeover of Veresen Inc. in 2017. Gendis had been an early investor in Veresen’s predecessor Fort Chicago Energy Partners in 1997 and had held shares ever since its formation.
FERTILIZER PRODUCTION
Gendis holds nearly one million shares in privately held Vive Crop Protection Inc. Vive designs, develops and markets active ingredient delivery systems, with a focus on the crop protection industry through the use of its patented polymer technology designed to help food growers increase crop yields while reducing the use of potentially harmful chemical additives.
COMMERCIAL REAL ESTATE PROPERTIES
Gendis currently owns a portfolio of 5 real estate properties including its head office in suburban Winnipeg which includes Manitoba Hydro and Brewers Distributor as main occupants as well as several commercial retail properties with tenants including The Bargain! Shop, Red Apple Stores, Dollarama, Money Mart, Bank of Nova Scotia and the United Way.
